Yorkshire colliery scheme attracts national interest

Colliery scheme attracts UK interest.

Industrial estate Redwood Court, built on the site of a former Yorkshire colliery, is attracting interest from firms around the country, the agent says.

The £4.5 million site at Dinnington Colliery has attracted start-up companies and regional businesses with its 15 units of industrial and warehouse space across 60,902 square feet, the Business Desk reports.

One of the companies to take space is Leamington Spa-based business communications and event management consultants Dobson White Partnership (DWP).

It joins print and design firm 1 Click Print and EM Security as the most recent tenants.

DWP and 1 Click Print have each taken 2,265 sq ft units on flexible tenancy agreements and EM Security has taken a 1,733 sq ft unit.

Rebecca Schofield of developer Knight Frank told the publication: "Massive regional investment at the former Dinnington Colliery location has liberated prime-sites which have drawn in both major companies such as Johnston Press, Macalloy, Centrepac and Manor Motor Sport as well as smaller relocations and expansions - all choosing the ease of access and superb motorway links which will serve the Redwood Court project."

Dinnington Colliery was in operation from 1867 to 1960. At its height in 1914 it employed 1,165 people.ADNFCR-1203-ID-18668221-ADNFCR
