Wilson Bowden prepare Chesterfield redevelopment plans

Redevelopment plans unveiled

Wilson Bowden Developments are preparing the blueprint for an ambitious redevelopment of a site in Chesterfield.

The firm is poised to submit its plans for the regeneration of the Demaglass site, which will include a 10,000 capacity stadium for Chesterfield Football Club and a range of shops, including a Tesco supermarket.

Neil Hartley, development director with the firm, revealed that the regeneration of the site was crucial to both the town and the football club.

"The former Demaglass site is an important site for Chesterfield, equally important is its regeneration to bring it back in to use," he said.

"To have major brands already in the town, Tesco and Chesterfield Football Club, behind the regeneration of the site presents an exciting opportunity for growth and the creation of a landmark scheme," he added.

Meanwhile, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors has claimed that the commercial property sector remains "firm" due to long-term demand in the market.ADNFCR-1203-ID-18436526-ADNFCR
