Urban Splash announce Liverpool regeneration scheme

Liverpool: Ready for regeneration

Urban Splash has unveiled its plans for a multi-million pound mixed-use regeneration scheme situated on Liverpool's Great George Street.

The £100 million proposals will include 80,000 square feet of office and retail space, a new hotel and more than 700 new residential properties.

Simon Humphreys, development director of Urban Splash in Liverpool, revealed that the build, called Tribeca, would help to vastly improve the quality of the region.

He told the Liverpool Echo: "Our vision is to make Great George Street a residential thriving commercial street again, and give it a proper identity as a gateway to the city."

"It is not often an opportunity like this arrives to really make a difference in one area of a city. It is not change for change's sake, we are taking what is not working and replacing it to improve the area in a way that will definitely be to the betterment of the city," he added.

Work will begin on the scheme in the Spring and will be completed in phases over the next eight years.ADNFCR-1203-ID-18467805-ADNFCR
