Trinity Leeds 'expected to open in 2012'

The new Trinity Leeds shopping centre development will be open by Christmas 2012, it has been announced.
According to Trinity Quarter Developments (TQD), the site will feature over 120 retail units and will "transform" city centre street's including Boar Lane and Briggate.
In addition, a planning application will soon be submitted to the city's council for work to remodel Albion Street.
Bob De Barr, development director of TQD, said: "Difficult decisions regarding the delivery of the scheme have had to be made in the context of the wider economy.
"We have thought long and hard about the best way to deliver the scheme and everything suggests that 2012 will be a more appropriate delivery date for all stakeholders."
TQD is a joint venture partnership between Caddick and Land Securities, with the latter managing around 7.6 million square metres of commercial property.
