Tenants fill £250m Manchester development

An agreement has been reached

Two further tenants have signed up for office space at a listed building in Manchester city centre.

Arca Architects and creative agency four23 have been secured as tenants at the Carvers Warehouse office building, situated in Town Centre Securities' £250 million Piccadilly Basin development, Property Mall reports.

Popular with the city's creative and professional organisations, the building has undergone conversion and restoration work to incorporate five floors of environmentally sustainable office accommodation.

John Lee, founding director of Arca, said: "It is great to be in this prominent building at the historic heart of the area. It is full of character, already proving to be a talking point with our clients, and a great base for the company going forward."

Cavers Warehouse, which comprises of around 400,000 sq ft of office space also includes 140 luxury apartments and several bars and restaurants.

In related news, a recent report by real estate services company Colliers CRE found that the need for office space in Manchester increased by a fifth in 2007 compared to 2006.
