Stanmore commercial property scheme receives green light

An ambitious scheme to redevelop a site in Stanmore, north-west London, has finally been given the go ahead.
Berkeley Urban Renaissance has been granted permission to regenerate the site on Honeypot Lane and plans include the development of 96,000 square feet of office space, Property Week reports.
The proposals also incorporate almost 800 new build homes and 10,700 square feet of retail property.
The final permission for the scheme had to be granted by the Secretary of State after four years of set backs involving Berkeley, Harrow Council and, advisors Turley Associates, and architects of the scheme Hamiltons.
Meanwhile, Rotherham is also in-line for a number of new commercial development properties, after plans were agreed to build a new retail park in the town.
The park will incorporate 100,000 square feet of retail property as well as an additional 90,000 feet of industrial real estate.
