Shopping centre redevelopment to offer "innovative" food concept

The property firm behind the redevelopment of a shopping centre in the centre of Leeds has released details about the project.
Propinvest, which is currently transforming the Headrow Centre, has told the Yorkshire Evening Post that an "innovative" food concept will be central to the development when it reopens as The Core next year.
A food court offering a selection of international cuisine will be located on the top floor while a glass roof and corner towers will give customers good views of the Headrow outside.
The centre's director Andy Bradley said that the dining area, which will be called the Food Core, is the first of its kind in Leeds.
"With all elements of this redevelopment, we have looked at what Leeds already offers and aimed to do something fresh and different," he told the newspaper.
"We believe the Food Core will add a new and improved dimension to Leeds's retail offer - providing shoppers with a much needed alternative to the fast food outlets which currently pepper the city's streets and shopping centres."
Meanwhile, the Princesshay retail development in Exeter has been named the most outstanding medium-sized shopping centre in Europe by the International Council of Shopping Centres.
