Derby's biggest building given the go-ahead

Permission granted for Derby's biggest building

Plans for Derby's biggest building put forward by the Goodman Group have been approved.

The commercial property development will be located off Raynesway and consist of an 111,000 sq m warehouse which stands at 25.5 metres high, reports the Derby Evening Telegraph.

When completed, it will be the centrepiece of the £175 million Raynesway industrial park scheme known as Derby Commercial Park and will house car showrooms, offices and industrial units.

Speaking to the publication about the development, Graham Pardoe, Goodman's logistics development director, said: "This is a very exciting scheme for both Goodman and the local area and we are delighted to be involved in this development."

The group has not stated when building will commence.

In related news, the South Wales Guardian reports that a commercial property grant is being handed out to businesses in Pontardawe to be spent on improving the town centre and shops' appearances.
