Commercial property rental hotspots 'to emerge in Western Corridor'

Early rental growth could emerge in the UK's Western Corridor due to a shortage of grade A commercial property, a report has suggested.
Research by Jones Lang LaSalle suggested that towns including Reading and High Wycombe are set to become rental hotspots, where supply is not meeting occupier demand.
Guy Parkes, head of the company's Western Corridor office, said the "tipping point" is set to begin in town centres, which are currently good value for commercial property investors.
"Equally, corporate occupiers, who may be considering relocating to a town centre, should make use of this window of opportunity whereby they are able to capitalise on the current competitive pricing and rental packages available to secure premises on preferential terms before they are priced out of the market," he added.
Earlier this month, research by Jones Lang LaSalle suggested that total direct investment in commercial property in the UK will reach up to £23 billion by the end of this year.
