Clothing manufacturer relocates to Merseyside

Clothing manufacturer Uneek Clothing is to relocate to a 136,000 square feet site at Wirral Business Park in Upton.

Headquartered in St Albans, the firm has signed a ten-year lease on the distribution unit from landlord Bluemantle, Property Week reports.

It was advised on the move by Jones Land LaSalle, whose industrial team associate director Phil Morley told the news provider the relocation shows that Upton remains an established industrial location in the north-west.

Mason Owen, CB Richard Ellis and Legat Owen acted for Bluemantle.

Uneek Clothing manufactures products for the leisurewear, corporate, promotional and workwear industries.

It was established in the UK in 1990, with overseas operations commencing in 1995.

Some 600,000 garments are made each month.

Bluemantle is based in Alderley Edge and looks after £150 million of investment property and a development pipeline of £500 million for more than 20 joint venture partners and equity investors.
