Bradford enjoys commercial property growth

Despite the commercial property problems around England and Wales, Bradford has enjoyed a period of strong sector growth, experts have revealed.

According to legal firm Gordons, the city saw an impressive transaction increase of 36 per cent last year, the Bradford Telegraph and Argus reports.

Paul Young, a partner at the firm specialising in the commercial property sector, revealed his belief that 2008 could be another successful year for Bradford.

"Bradford can look forward to a prosperous and commercially active 2008," he said.

"The last 12 months have seen substantial growth in the number of property transactions undertaken by the team and we see no sign of this slowing down," he added.

Meanwhile, the proposed regeneration of Macclesfield town centre moved a step closer after Wilson Bowden was chosen as the scheme's developer.
